Flooring is a critical component of any fitness facility. It not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the gym but also affects the functionality of the gym. At EGD we have had over 10 years experience working in the fitness industry. We understands the unique needs of a gym and can recommend flooring solutions that can withstand the rigorous demands of a fitness facility.
Flooring suited for purpose. One of the primary considerations when selecting gym flooring is the type of equipment that will be used in the gym. Heavy equipment such as free weights, squat racks, and treadmills can cause damage to the gym flooring. Therefore, it is important to choose flooring that is durable and can withstand the weight of heavy equipment. We suggested a 15mm tiled rubber solution, as it would protect the existing concrete floor, while also providing grip for OzzFit Members.

Ease of Cleanliness: Another crucial consideration when selecting gym flooring is ease of cleanliness. Gyms are high-traffic areas that can quickly accumulate sweat, dirt, and debris. Therefore, it is important to choose flooring that is easy to clean and maintain. We suggested that polished concrete was used in high traffic areas such as the reception, and cardio areas which would collect dirt from members footware.
